Hollywood - Bringing the Occult into Homes Across America and the World

It is said that Hollywood was created to make epic Biblical films (such as The Ten Commandments with Charlton Heston) but quickly left that goal and created all kinds of films.  It may or may not be true that Hollywood was designed for sharing the Gospel through films (since The Ten Commandments came years after the first silent films and first talking films), but one thing is for sure, Hollywood has been depicting non-Biblical themes for a hundred + years now (this includes silent films which came about in 1895, 35 years before talking films).  Before movies came into existence people went to church and attended the revival meetings of traveling preachers such as Billy Sunday.  But after the war (WWI) people wanted an escape from the hard times and movies replaced church and revival services.  Movies were an open world of the imagination!  But if we look at the concept of living in a world of imagination versus living life based on sound Bible teaching, we can see the slight of hand of the master magician, Satan on America and now the world. The Bible says in 2 Corinthians 10:5 (KJV) - Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ.  Did Hollywood films bring everything to the obedience of Christ?  No, it didn't and what may have started out being only slightly rebellious to God has now evolved into full-on occult themes and imagery depicted on the big screen!  And the little screen, television. However there needs to be no distinction from big screen to little screen (especially with the size of television screens today), because all film entertainment comes from Hollywood.  (There may be some small independent film makers but even they have to get funding and often times go to Hollywood producers to get their film out at the theatres.)  Let's take a look at how Hollywood films, including television shows have evolved into full-on occult themed presentations.  And ask yourself at the end, why do we watch them and let our children watch them?

Walt Disney films have charmed audiences with everything from the first-ever Disney film 'Snow White' in 1937 to 'Mary Poppins' to '101 Dalmatians' to 'Peter Pan' etc. These are known as "good, clean family films" but if we look at the amount of magic in Disney films and how many witches there are in them, even in the early years, we can begin to see how the door was cracked open to allow for full blown witch evasion in present day films.  Maybe it would help to understand Walt Disney, the man, a little better.  He was a Mason (please read the page on Masonry), not a Christian.  None of his films point people to the God of the Bible, none of them have ever even mentioned Jesus Christ.  So even if we don't look at the many witches, sorcerers or the belief in magic in his films, we can see the slight of hand of Masonry to replace Jesus as the center of our lives and bring people into the world of imagination.  But what happens if we begin to look at how seemingly innocent films such as 'Sleeping Beauty' and 'Snow White' have now evolved into 'Maleficent' which is the story of the witch from Sleeping Beauty.  It delves into her life exclusively!  And from the commercials of this new film alone, it is obvious this Disney film is truly using occult imagery to portray who Maleficent is!  With modern technology being so advanced a person watching a witch send her powers out (which ends up coming toward the audience) is very dangerous because it overloads the normal senses of a human being, allowing Satan to fully get into their imagination.  It is said that the Disney of today is not the Disney that Walt Disney created, (because those who took over after he died took it in a different direction), but I say it is one and the same, it has just evolved slowly but surely from it's seemingly innocent foundation of 'family films' which always had magic and witchcraft into what we see now in 'Maleficent'.  One last point about Disney films, if you can't see the magic/witchcraft theme in the film, listen to the lyrics of the songs such as the songs of Pocahontas - they are New Age earth worshiping messages.

Let's look at the Wizard of Oz but first let's look at it's author.  L. Frank Baum, the author of the Wizard of Oz was a member of the Theosophical Society, which is an occult organization and it is suspected he made the Wizard of Oz as an allegory of Theosophic teachings. Let's look at some of the occult themes in the Wizard of Oz.  Dorothy, a 12 year old girl living in Kansas, is unsatisfied with real life, (which is depicted in black and white film), and she dreams of a world 'over the rainbow'. The rainbow is of course full of color and once she gets to Oz the film becomes full color film.  The b/w film is to down play real life and the color film is to augment a person's desire to leave reality and go to a world of imagination - this is the goal of the occult.  In the story Dorothy leaves home upset because her neighbor Mrs. Gulch (the future witch of the West) is threatening to take her dog Toto away.  Dorothy happens upon a trailer camp similar to that of a gypsy and meets a man named Professor Marvel (who is the future Wizard of Oz).  On his trailer it says that he is acclaimed by the Crowned Heads of Europe (this is a hidden reference to the Illuminati, a Theosophical organization) as a skilled fortune teller, juggler, and slight of hand artist and says Let him tell your past, present and future by use of his crystal ball. (Crystal ball reading is of the occult) .  As he begins to read Dorothy's future he says his crystal ball is the same one used by the priests of Isis and Orisis of ancient Egypt - these are pagan gods of Egypt.  Later in the movie Dorothy's house lands on the Wicked Witch of the East and she is greeted with a thankful celebratory "good witch" named Glinda.  As Dorothy begins her journey to see the Wizard of Oz, a man known as the 'great and powerful' Oz, the only man who can grant her her wish to go home, she encounters the Wicked Witch of the West and her flying monkeys (symbolizes demons).  This is a lot of witches and occult power symbolism for one movie and should be of concern to Christians.  But there are more occult symbolism than what I've covered here such as the yellow brick road that swirls open and the ruby red shoes and Dorothy making it home with her own powers after Toto jumps out of the Wizard's balloon forcing her to get out of it.  For understandings on these and more visit  http://snippits-and-slappits.blogspot.com/2009/10/occult-roots-of-wizard-of-oz.html  (this is not an endorsement of this website other than it's expose on the Wizard of Oz.)  And now what is even more concerning than all of this hidden occultic imagery in the original Wizard of Oz movie is the spin-off called Wicked.  It is a long-running broadway musical that travels around the United States to sold-out audiences that focuses on the life of the Wicked Witch of the West.  Yes, the door gets cracked open in the minds of American audiences with the seemingly innocent films and then years later the occult it in then takes center stage!

In 2001 the first Harry Potter movie hit the theaters and there have been six movies that have followed.  The author of the books and movies, J.K. Rowling, is a millionaire many times over because American parents and even Christian parents buy these books for their kids and take them to see each new episode as it hits the theater.  But should they?  See what this former witch said about the Harry Potter series:  http://www.pacinst.com/witch.htm (this is not an endorsement for anything on her website other than this one article on Harry Potter.)  To give a synopsis of the premise of Harry Potter, it is a story of an orphan boy who realizes at age 11 that he is a wizard.  He lives in the mundane world of non-magical people known as Muggles (do you see the similarities to the Wizard of Oz yet?) and he is invited to attend an exclusive wizardry school.  There he meets other wizard friends and their adventures begin as they are being trained to overcome the Dark wizard Lord Voldemort, who aims to become immortal, conquer the wizarding world, subjugate non-magical people, and destroy all those who stand in his way. So the world according to J.K. Rowling allows people to use occult powers for 'good'.  This is called White Witchcraft and it is similar to how Glenda the Good Witch in the Wizard of Oz is portrayed as beautiful and nice.  But the Bible says that witchcraft is an abomination to God.  Leviticus 19:31- Regard not them that have familiar spirits, neither seek after wizards, to be defiled by them: I [am] the LORD your God.  For more verses from the Bible on this matter please go to http://www.kingjamesbibleonline.org/Bible-Verses-About-Witchcraft/

Movies such as Poltergeist and The Exorcist brought the demonic realm right out in people's faces which is a very dangerous thing to do. Neither movie showed a real solution to the horror of demonic attack.  It is only the blood of Jesus and the name of Jesus that protects people from the demonic realm.  So these movies that were produced for "horror entertainment" actually  opened up people's souls to the demonic realm, infused them with a real interest or real fear of the demonic and left them in that state.  And as stated previously, once the door is opened to the occult, a person's interest in seeing more, or learning more about it will increase - even if they are afraid of what they are watching and their lives will get more and more infused with the demonic realm.

Hollywood films often have a story line about aliens, which opens people's minds to 1) their existence and 2) their getting comfortable with the thought of aliens being a part of every day life. Let's look at some of the alien films that have come out in the last 50 years: Prometheus, Aliens, Predator, Star Wars, E.T., Independence Day, Close Encounters of the Third Kind, Men In Black, Total Recall, District 9, Contact, Avatar, War of the Worlds, Star Trek, The X-Files, Cocoon, Enemy Mine, Transformers, and the recent release Alien Abduction.  (there are many more, too many to list here.)  The predicted summer hit of 2014 is Earth to Echo.  This film will depict the alien as a cute friend like how E.T. was depicted, but often times the aliens are horrifying and they fight against mankind.  Other times they are exalted as higher intelligent beings that we should hope to learn from.  However Hollywood depicts them, people are being saturated with aliens!  The problem is Christians, including the author of this website, believe aliens to be of the demonic realm.  Please peruse this website which has compiled a lot of information showing why alien activity is not something to welcome into our lives:  http://www.alienstranger.com/arealiensdemons.htm.  Another website shows 10 reasons why aliens are fallen angels/demons is:  http://planoslie.hubpages.com/hub/10-reasons-why-aliens-are-actually-fallen-angelsdemons (This is a blog post and I do not endorse every bloggers comment written below the 10 points.)

Let's change our focus now to television:  Bewitched was a forerunner for witchcraft back in 1964 in what was a seemingly innocent show about an All-American cute looking woman named Samantha who was a witch who had to give up her powers to stay married to a normal human man because he wanted a normal wife.  But now television has taken that premise and created shows like Charmed where three women who are powerful witches use their powers all of the time to protect people from demons.  The story lines not only encourage witch craft but they expose viewers to demonic realms and entities.  And from 2005 - 2009 audiences could watch a television series called Medium.  This show was themed on the supernatural gifts of its lead character (played by Patricia Arquette) who was a medium employed as a consultant by a D.A.'s office.  She was a mother of three who had the gift of being able to talk to dead people, as well as foresee events and witness past events in her dreams.  Channeling dead people is a hard-core occult practice and notice how the show brings children into the story line.

Another television show that was full the occult was Lost, it ran from 2004 to 2010.  Let's read how Wikipedia http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mythology_of_Lost summarizes this show:   "The television show Lost includes a number of mysterious elements that have been ascribed to science fiction or supernatural phenomena, usually concerning coincidences, synchronicity, deja vu, temporal and spatial anomalies, pardoxes, and other puzzling phenomena. The creators of the series refer to these as part of the mythology of the series.  As the main setting of the series, the island boasts a number of unusual properties. Its location changes at times and it cannot be reached by ordinary means. The island is surrounded by some sort of barrier which causes disruptions in the normal flow of time for those who cross it. Electromagnetic phenomena are common on the island, and it seems to bestow unusual healing properties to its residents."   The island is like an alternate universe, just like all science fiction takes a person's mind to, and once in that place of imagination a person's mind can be infiltrated with what ever the devil wants them to focus on.  A person's interest in the occult grows with each unexplained mystery and soon reading the Bible becomes boring or it also becomes a work of fiction to the warped mind.

In case some may not watch fiction stories on television, Reality T.V. has been created.  In all of the terrible reality shows out there such as Fear Factor that dares people to do horrific things (with the premise they will overcome their fear but it actually infiltrates people's senses into the devil's dark realm of fear), there is now one that directly pulls people into the magical arts aka occult practices.  This show is called Long Island Medium and it's the every day life of a modern medium named Theresa Caputo.  She is married and has two children (again bringing the family and children into it like its 'family friendly') and she works as a medium speaking to dead people for both believers and skeptics alike.  She states this about her 'gift':  "Things are just there. When I was younger I used to actually see images and hear things. As I got older and shut down, it had changed. Because it was frightening to see people standing there who actually weren’t there."  So, just like in the Harry Potter story line, her gift as a medium was 'just there' as a child and she had to learn to work with it more over the years.

These are just a few examples of the occult that television and movies are pumping into adults and children alike.  Hollywood is full of occult at the top levels whether you want to term it as New Age, Luciferianism, Satanism or the Illuminati, one thing is for sure, they are not interested in pointing people to the Bible*!  And America is being shaped by those who spin out our entertainment!  I know first hand as someone who spent a few years out in Hollywood trying to be an actress in my 20's that there is a subtle but powerful pull out there for a person to come away from anything clean-cut and morale and to go into all things edgy, hard, tough and cool.  You can see it in the young actors who start out in good clean-cut roles only to want to quickly throw off that image and become the next sexy or dark and mysterious celebrity.

* In recent days we've seen Roma Downey and her husband produce movies that are so-called Christian such as The Bible series.  Roma Downey is a New Ager who claims to be a Christian - please see more facts about this (though this in not an endorsement of everything on their website) http://www.truthkeepers.com/?p=525

Other movies that claim to be Biblical in nature also need to be looked at very carefully.  The recent movie of Noah has nothing to do with the actual Biblical story of Noah.  It stars people who have no regard for Christianity and the movie actually promotes environmentalism rather than faith in God.

Passion of the Christ is another movie that presents itself as a Biblical film.  It appears to be the depiction of Jesus Christ's last hours as the Bible reveals it to us.  However Mel Gibson based much of the script for his film from a book called 'The Dolorous Passion' written by a Catholic mystic named Anne Catherine Emmerich.  She was said to have been gifted of God to see visions of everything that happened to Jesus as well as other biblical events.  During her life she was steeped in many occult type practices such as levitating, out of body experiences and stigmata.  Please see the full warning of the occult symbolism and teachings found in the Passion of the Christ movie in this 11 part video on You Tube:  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R7_4laCuli4

Bottom line, don't trust Hollywood!  Even in the seemingly innocent films or shows, the occult door is being opened.  Just by the mere absence of the God of the Bible and Jesus Christ, people are being filled up with everything but God.  Or if God, Jesus and the Bible are in the film, you have to check the story line with an actual KJV Bible to make sure everything is portrayed as God's Holy Spirit wrote it (through men.)  Sometimes parts of Biblical movies will be truthful and the rest made up for entertainment and/or to bring in Catholicism or New Age beliefs.

If you don't agree with my view points on this page, please ask God to reveal the truth to you about it and spend time reading your Bible.  The Holy Spirit will reveal to you what is of God and what is not.  Also do research into anything you are not sure about.  One very easy way is to type the title of the movie or show and type out the words occult or New Age or Illuminati and see what pulls up.  Don't trust every source but prayerfully read what warnings have been put up about it.  There are websites and blog sites designed to expose evil such as this website has been designed to do.
